MFC - Material Flow Control
Intelligent Integration Between Warehouse Management and Material Flow
MFC
Connecting Warehouse Management with the Physical Warehouse
Our solution connects warehouse management systems with the physical warehouse environment, enabling efficient processes, reliable system integration, and optimized material flow control.
- It is a flexible software platform that acts as an interface between warehouse management systems (WMS) and physical warehouse infrastructure. Depending on the requirements, it can function as a simple protocol converter or as a comprehensive Material Flow Control (MFC) system.
- The solution connects mobile and stationary picking workstations with automated conveyor systems and warehouse equipment. It also enables entire picking and shipping processes to be transferred from the higher-level warehouse management system to our solution, without requiring significant modifications to existing systems.
From simple interface integration to complex material flow control and the simulation of entire warehouse processes, we offer a flexible solution that connects warehouse management, operational workstations, and automated warehouse technology.
Execution of customized warehouse and shipping processes without modifying the existing warehouse management system, featuring intelligent order management that supports multi-level, parallel, consolidated, and priority-based processing, as well as packaging optimization and balanced workload distribution across available systems.
Standard SAP support and integration with additional systems enable order reception and confirmation via IDocs, centralized control of multiple subordinate systems through a single control point, system decoupling and workload reduction through asynchronous processing that minimizes the need for SAP modifications, as well as the integration of custom extensions and warehouse processes.
We can integrate your warehouse with systems such as EWM, WMS, high-bay storage systems, and Kardex, while supporting mobile and stationary workstations, enabling mobile data capture using handheld terminals and scanners for reliable identification of storage locations, logistics units, and materials, user-guided workflows for efficient order processing and error reduction, as well as customizable user interfaces tailored to the requirements of each workstation.
Control of automated storage and retrieval machines, warehouse systems, and conveyor equipment enables the management of transport orders and their distribution to the appropriate equipment control systems, communication with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including Siemens S5 and S7 systems, as well as support for various communication methods and protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, and serial interfaces.
Simulation of physical equipment and its interfaces without requiring actual conveyor systems provides support for system commissioning and testing new versions of warehouse management software, enables early detection of integration issues, reduces commissioning efforts, and allows the simulator to be used independently of a material flow control system.
